CDO Urban and Township Planning Seminar
Pueblo de Oro Development Corporation (PDO) officers shared their technical guidance in project planning and development in line with its long-term commitment to empower communities in the recent Urban and Township Planning Training of the City Housing and Urban Development Department (CHUDD) in Cagayan de Oro City.
PDO, the residential development arm of the ICCP Group, had assistant manager for corporate affairs and sales administration Christopher Lasta, vice president and general manager Chrysler Acebu, assistant vice president for business development Mylin Batchanicha, project implementation manager Alvin Alonzo, and senior manager for township relations Mierro Castrillo as resource speakers.
The CHUDD, headed by Engr. Ermin Stan Pimentel, was established to develop sustainable and resilient housing communities to address CDO’s total housing backlog which is estimated at over 79,000 units in the next ten years.
During a recent Local Shelter Plan Summit, CHUDD reported that there were 51,437 Informal Settler Families (ISFs) in 2018, a 71 percent increase from the 34,898 ISFs recorded in 2015. With a 2.2 percent annual population growth, CHUDD foresees CDO will double its population and ISFs in 31 years.
