Phoenix Petroleum Philippines, Inc. opened its first gasoline station in Cagayan de Oro on December 7, 2009. The Coju Phoenix station is located at the Pueblo Business Park along Masterson Avenue, a major highway connecting the airport with downtown CdeO. Coju Phoenix dealer Amado Noble, Jr., welcomed special guests including Vice Mayor Vicente Emano, the media, and members of the Noble family including former Talakag, Bukidnon Mayor Amado Noble, Sr. to the blessing and inauguration of the station.
Phoenix Petroleum Phils., purported to be the first home-grown major player in the Philippine petroleum industry, opened its first retail service station in Davao del Sur in 2005. Since then, the company has rapidly expanded with over 100 stations nationwide.
According to Noble, Phoenix is planning to expand in other areas in Northern Mindanao. Phoenix purchased the lot at the Pueblo Business Park in 2008 in recognition of increased traffic in the uptown area.
