NewsHP Global Solutions Center Rises in Pueblo
The first HP Global Solutions Center in the country rises in the Pueblo de Oro Township.
Hewlett-Packard (HP) has partnered with local computer dealer Globalchips Technologies Co. to set up the Center. Globalchips has been an HP authorized service provider, supporting the sales of all HP Products, for the last nine years.
The building is comprised of three stories of 297 sq.m. each and is located at Block 9 of Masterson Mile South. The first floor houses the showroom while the second and third floors are dedicated to office spaces.
According to Globalchips' General Manager William Malagar, the center is scheduled to be operational by the first quarter of 2008.
This will be Globalchips' third branch in the city - the others being in Divisoria (main office) and Limketkai Center. They have also expanded outside Cagayan de Oro with branches in Malaybalay, Butuan, Tacurong, Iligan and Davao.
The HP Global Solutions Center in Pueblo de Oro will focus more on business enterprise and solutions such as corporate software development, unlike their downtown offices which sell retail. Globalchips will be receiving direct support from HP.
The HP Global Solutions Center is the first building to be put up in Masterson Mile South, a commercial development project of Pueblo de Oro fronting Masterson Avenue, a national highway connecting the airport to downtown Cagayan de Oro City.
